Wanted: Leadership for the Friends of Fulton Public Library

Retired? Civic minded?  Looking for a way to contribute to your community?  The Friends of Fulton Library is looking for leadership.  Friends groups are volunteer organizations dedicated to supporting the library's mission.  They are vocal advocates for the library in the community-at-large and help with fundraising activities for the library.  The Fulton Public Library is currently raising funds through our capital campaign to help restore our historic library and we can use your help to keep our Friends organization moving forward.  For more information contact the library.

Early Literacy Story Times, every Tuesday and Friday (10 AM)

The library is continuing our very popular story times and craft activities for Pre-K children.  On Tuesday (10 AM), we have Story Time and Friday (10 AM), we feature ABC story hour with a focus on learning letters and the alphabet.  These story hour programs are designed to help children learn early literacy skills such as print recognition, phonics, vocabulary, and narrative skills.  Research has shown that children with developed early literacy skills have an easier transition into the school environment, which can result in future academic success.

Mrs. Pratt's Halloween Ghost Walk, Friday, October 28 (7-9 PM)

The John Wells Pratt House Museum (1861) and Fulton Public Library (1905), are landmark buildings that have been witness to over 100 years of Fulton history.  On Friday, October 28 (7-9 PM), join the Soul Searchers of Auburn, NY as they conduct tours of both buildings and explain the history, unexplained voices, sounds, and shadows that they have detected during their independent investigations.  Tours are by advance ticket sales only and will be conducted every 30 minutes (choose a time upon purchase).
